During day 2 of this course you learn how to model, analyze, and visualize data using DAX formulas, measures, and relationships between fact and dimension tables. Create interactive dashboards with tables, charts, maps, and filters that make your data clear and impactful.
Your result
After completing day 2, you will be able to:
- Model and analyze data using DAX formulas, measures, and table relationships
- Create interactive and clear dashboards in Power BI using tables, charts, maps, and filters
- Transform raw data into visual insights that support data-driven decisions
Audience
This course is specifically designed for anyone who wants to get started with Power BI. You will learn how to make business intelligence – data within your organization – clear and accessible for the end user.
Approach
This course is designed to ensure that you can apply what you have learned in your own work environment. A highly experienced and certified Computrain trainer covers the theory and demonstrates how to apply it in practice through a variety of examples. You will work on several hands-on exercises, enabling optimal reinforcement of the learning material. The balance between theory and practice is approximately 50-50.
Prior knowledge
You have completed AI for Business Professionals – Day 1 (English).
Course material
You will have access to the online learning environment, e-Connect, which contains all required training materials as well as additional resources. The platform also enables you to easily communicate with fellow participants.
Follow-up options
If you would like to deepen your knowledge in Power BI, you can follow the PowerBI Advanced (English) course.
Certificate
When completing this course you will recieve the certificate of participation ‘PowerBI Introduction – Day 2 (English)’.

- Analyzing and modeling data
- Creating a data model: defining relationships between fact and dimension tables (star schemas)
- DAX formulas
- Calculated columns
- Creating a date table
- Summing values and calculating averages with measures: SUM, AVERAGE, COUNT, and DISTINCTCOUNT
- Applying simple logic with the IF formula
- Visualizing data
- Creating tables, matrices, and charts
- Displaying geographic information on a map or in a chart
- Adding filters: visual, page, or report filters

Opleiding op locatie
Bij Computrain regelen wij een arrangement voor jou bestaande uit onbeperkt koffie, thee en ijswater. Het dagarrangement is inclusief een uitgebreide lunch. De arrangementskosten bedragen € 30,- per dag of € 10,- per avond. Als er locatiekosten vermeld worden in het kostenoverzicht, worden deze kosten aan je doorberekend. De locatiekosten bedragen € 35,- per dag of € € 20.- per avond.
